ReSound Vivia RIE 62 combines advanced speech and noise processing, modern wireless connectivity and the convenience of a replaceable size 13 battery. Its discreet receiver-in-ear design supports a broad range of hearing needs while helping conversations remain clearer in changing and noisy environments.
Clearer conversations in noise
ReSound Vivia automatically analyses the surrounding sound environment and adjusts its directional microphones and noise-management settings.
Each performance level offers a different hearing-in-noise system:
- Vivia 9 includes Clear Focus, ReSound’s most advanced narrow directional system for the disposable-battery Vivia models.
- Vivia 7 includes Front Focus for stronger one-to-one speech support in noisy environments.
- Vivia 5 includes Ultra Focus for additional help hearing a person directly in front of you.
These features are designed to improve access to speech while preserving awareness of important surrounding sounds.
Natural direction and spatial awareness
Vivia RIE 62 can be fitted with LP, MP, HP or UP receivers to suit different hearing requirements.
It is also compatible with ReSound’s optional M&RIE receiver. M&RIE places an additional microphone inside the ear canal, using the natural shape of your outer ear to collect sound and support more natural direction, depth and spatial awareness.
Replaceable size 13 battery
The RIE 62 uses a replaceable size 13 zinc-air battery and does not require nightly charging.
This can suit people who prefer to replace their hearing aid batteries rather than rely on a charger. Actual battery life varies depending on hearing needs, receiver strength, streaming, wireless features and battery quality.
Built-in telecoil
A built-in telecoil allows Vivia RIE 62 to connect to compatible hearing-loop systems commonly available in theatres, lecture halls, places of worship and other public venues.
Audio from the loop system is transmitted directly to the hearing aids, helping reduce the effect of distance, reverberation and background noise.

Auracast™ broadcast audio support allows the hearing aids to receive compatible public and private audio broadcasts. The Auracast Assistant inside the ReSound Smart 3D app helps users locate and connect to available broadcasts.

The ReSound Smart 3D app allows users to:

Designed for everyday wear
Vivia RIE 62 has an IP68 water and dust resistance rating, with protective nanocoating applied to its components.
This provides protection from perspiration, rain and everyday moisture. The hearing aids should not be treated as waterproof or worn while swimming or showering.

Vivia 5 RIE 62 provides the essential Vivia sound, streaming, telecoil and automatic environmental features for everyday listening.
Vivia 7 RIE 62 adds more detailed processing, Front Focus and stronger control of background noise, wind and sudden sounds.
