What is an audiogram?

An audiogram is the results chart from a standard hearing test. It maps the softest sounds you can hear across different pitches, for each ear, so it shows exactly where your hearing needs support. Any audiologist or hearing clinic can do the test, and most give you the audiogram to keep.

It is the single most useful thing you can give us. With your audiogram, Lachlan programs your hearing aids precisely to your hearing before they are posted, so they sound right from the first day.

Why we ask for a photo of each ear

Along with your audiogram, we ask for one clear photo of each ear. It lets Lachlan check the shape of your ear and canal so your domes or moulds fit comfortably, and spot anything worth sorting first, like a build-up of wax, before your hearing aids arrive.

The photos are private, stored securely, and only ever seen by your audiologist.
